PALMER — The annual “Who Let the Girls Out” cabin fever reliever event is April 26-27 in downtown Palmer.
Here are some of the events planned during the two-day festival.
• Envision Mat Su’s Wild Scenic Film Festival on April 25-26 at the Palmer Depot. Due to the popularity of last year’s festival, it has now expanded to two nights. Considered one of the nation’s premiere environmental and adventure film festivals, the festival seeks to inform, inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities. • A dinner theater production by the Homeless Actors of Mat-Su April 26-27 to benefit the Alaska Birth Network at Turkey Red. The play tells the true stories of pregnancy and delivery in today’s medical community. There will be a group discussion with caregivers after each show. Tickets are available at NonEssentials. • Valley Women’s Running Team will host a 5-k Timed Run/Untimed Walk at 6:30, April 26 the starting at the Pavilion in downtown Palmer. Fee is $25 for early entry, or $30 the day of the race. For more information, visit valleywomensrunningteam.
• Join local vegetable seed company Foundroot for a luxurious Garden Party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 27 at Rusty’s at Dahlia St., 320 East Dahlia Ave. Don your frilliest dress and most fabulous hat and start your day with muffins and mimosas at Rusty’s at Dahlia St. Shop for garden goodies, seeds and hanging baskets from Foundroot and Grey Owl Gardens.
