WASILLA — The Mat-Su Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting its annual wine tasting and travel auction “ExTRAVELganza” on April 11 at Evangelo’s Restaurant. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $35 each, and a reserved table of eight is $265. The event includes a wine tasting from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with appetizers served throughout the evening. Bill Tull’s jazz band also will play light music throughout the event. Silent auction tables close throughout the evening, with great deals on travel packages, goods from local merchants and fine art from around Alaska. The evening concludes with a live auction featuring trips on the Alaska Railroad, flightseeing trips from Talkeetna and a Princess Cruise to either Mexico or the Caribbean.
The MTA luggage tag raffle is also occurring. Luggage tags are $20 each, and include entry to win two round-trip tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies.
Event tickets and luggage tag raffle tickets both traditionally sell out prior to the event, so advance purchase is highly encouraged. To purchase tickets, contact Justin Saunders at 746-5032 or email justin@alaskavisit.com.
