WASILLA — Directed by Julie McCartney the Valley Performing Arts production of “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus,” runs Nov. 29 to Dec. 22 in the Fred and Sara Machetanz Theater, 251 W. Swanson Ave.
The play brings together two compelling stories in this heartwarming play inspired by the famous editorial, “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.” The editorial printed in The Sun in 1897 was written in reply to a letter from Virginia O’Hanlon, whose father inspired her to write a letter to the newspaper asking, “Is there a Santa Claus?”
The spirit of Christmas brings together these two strangers, who lead audience members on an unforgettable journey to answer the age-old question, “Is there a Santa Claus?”
