The Palmer High School football program is hosting registration and offering physicals to students interested in participating in football during the 2004 season.
Registration is scheduled for Saturday, July 24 from 9- 11 a.m. at PHS. A meeting for the players and parents is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Students are asked to bring their sports fee.
Students who can not attend the registration can also sign up on the first day of practice, Aug. 2, but will need to get their own physical. Practice will start at 2 p.m. and students are asked to arrive early to sign up.
The PHS football program welcomes students new to the school and new to the program.

Dance clinic
The Palmer High School dance team is hosting a jazz/hip-hop dance clinic, July 27-28 at the Palmer Train Depot.
The clinic is open to participants ages 8-18. There will be three four-hour sessions. A different dance is taught each session.
The cost is $20 each session, two sessions for $30 or all three sessions for $45.

Summer Elite Hockey Camp
The annual Summer Elite Hockey camp is scheduled for Aug. 16-20 at the Curt Menard II Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.
The camp features instruction in three age divisions: mites/squirts, pee-wee/bantom and high school/college. The guest instructor for the camp is former University of Connecticut standout and Wesleyan College head coach Chris Potter.
Potter is a former All-American, professional player and recipient of coach of the year honors.
The cost of the camp is $185 for players in the mite, squirt, pee-wee and bantom age classes and $95.00 for high school and college players. The price for goaltenders in each age group is $95. The mites and squirts meet each night from 4-6 p.m., pee-wee and bantom meet each night from 6:15-8:30 p.m. and high school and college players meet from 8:45- 10 p.m.

ABC basketball camp
ABC Alaska is hosting a summer basketball camp Aug. 9-21.
Each week of the camp will feature five daily, two-hour sessions for athletes ages 7-17.
Each session will include shooting instruction and drills, scrimmaging and instruction emphasizing the transition game, pick-and-roll motion offense, teamwork, rebounding and defense.
The cost of the camp is $95 for one week and $190 for both weeks. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and a chance to win awards in contests sponsored by the clinic. The camp is sponsored by the Wasilla High School booster club.
