WASILLA — One person is dead after a three-car accident along Knik-Goose Bay Road Thursday afternoon.

Alaska State Troopers identified Paul Anderson, 36, of Wasilla, in a dispatch report published Friday morning. Troopers say Anderson’s 2000 Dodge Durango collided with the back of a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Naomi Combs of Wasilla. After the initial collision with Combs’ 2012 Jeep Wrangler, Anderson’s Dodge struck the back of a Suburu driven by 42-year-old Robert Masterman of Bethel.

Anderson was declared dead at the scene. Combs and an unidentified passenger in her vehicle were taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, according to authorities, with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation of the cause of the accident is ongoing, according to troopers.

Early Thursday evening, Department of Public Safety Communications Director Jonathon Taylor said the initial report was received shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday. Emergency personal were dispatched to Knik-Goose Bay Road near Donovan Drive.
