1 week down, and progress to boot!!

Okay, it is official - the first week of the Trim 2 Win Challenge is in the books. In the past week I have significantly changed my diet, and significantly changed my purposeful physical activity level, above and beyond just the day-to-day activities, which for some reason I used to think would be enough to get me through, but really now I know that you need to get your heart rate up and push yourself to see the progress I would always wish for.

Well the even better news is, now that week one is in the books, is that I have actually lost some weight. It is hard to say that 2 lbs. is a good loss, but at the same time I have to take it and be happy about it because it is a loss and not a gain, also because I am making the efforts to lose and seeing progress rather than just being at the same place day after day, as I have been for more than a year now.

I hope you all had good first weeks in the challenge - I consider it to have been pretty good for me! Here's hoping the coming weeks bring even better loses and the opportunity to continue making positive changes, trying new "good foods" and seeing my hard work paying off in more ways than one. I am hoping to meet with the personal trainer on Wednesday of this week, and really hoping she will be able to provide me with even more to keep going in the right direction here.
