PALMER — The Musk Ox Farm is celebrating more than a decade of hoof-stomping success with the 11th annual Running with the Bulls Aug. 4 in Palmer, 12850 E. Archie Rd, Mile 50.1, Glenn Highway. There will be live music, delicious concessions and a raffle with prizes, including flight seeing from K2 Aviation, Talkeetna Air Taxi and round-trip tickets for two on the Alaska Railroad to Denali.
The Musk Ox Farm has announced it’s excited to continue last year’s popular races, including a 1-kilometer kids fun run a 5-K run/walk and a challenging 10-K run for the serious stampeder that twists and turns through the farm’s pastures.
Bib pick-up and race day registration begins at 11a.m., Aug. 4. Races begin at 1 p.m. Entry fee includes bib, official time, official race T-shirt, snacks, raffle ticket and refreshments. The course is timed by REM Data, providing all runners and walkers with an accurate race time.
Pre-register at muskoxfarm.org/events. Registration for kids 12 years old and younger are $10, adults are $25. Registration after July 28 will be $15 for kids and $30 for adults. Whether or not you intend to run, come enjoy the beautiful farm, magnificent animals and vibrant atmosphere at the Musk Ox Farm.
