2 arrested for burglary, vehicle theft

HOUSTON — Two Anchorage men face burglary and vehicle theft charges for an incident that began in Houston and ended on Glenn Highway near the Knik River Access.

Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in Houston around 10 a.m., July 28 for a report of a burglary and vehicle theft.

Troopers said several suspects broke into a residence, stole multiple firearms and a 1985 Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle was later recovered on the Glenn Highway near the Knik River Access after it was reported to be on fire.

Troopers identified

Two suspects were later found and identified Robert Goff, 30, and a 16-year-old juvenile male both of Anchorage and arrested then for first- and second-degree burglary and first-degree vehicle theft.

Goff was transported n he at Mat-Su Pretrial and held on $5,000 bail. And the juvenile was lodged at the Mat-Su Youth Facility.
