2 men injured in dirt bike vs. tree crash

WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers say alcohol is suspected to be involved in a dirt bike accident June 9 that sent two men to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

James Grubb, 19, of Wasilla, and Daniel Moss, 21 of Palmer were transported to the hospital after the Kawasaki dirt bike they were riding west on Snowgoose Drive when they hit a tree and were ejected from the bike. Grubb was subsequently flown to Anchorage for treatment.

Troopers say neither rider was wearing a helmet. The investigation is ongoing.
