People planning to go to the 40th start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race are encouraged to use shuttle service to get too and from the Willow Community Center on Willow Lake. Teams beginning leaving at 2 p.m., March 4.
Volunteer tickets $10, spectator/media $20 round-trip. Tickets may be purchased in the lobby of the hotel at the Volunteer Registration desk.
• Buses depart from the Anchorage Millennium Hotel at 8 a.m. Volunteers only, 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
• Buses will depart from Willow Community Center for the Millennium Hotel at 4 p.m.; 5 p.m.; and 6 p.m.
Tickets are $2; children under 12 are free and are available at each site.
• Buses depart from Wasilla High School at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:15 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 12:45 p.m., and 1 p.m.
• Buses depart from Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and noon.
• Buses return to WHS and the Menard Center at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
