WASILLA — A Sunday night, two-vehicle accident at mile 150 of the Parks Highway claimed the life of a Fairbanks man.
According to Alaska State Troopers, 23-year old Thomas O'Connor died after his Subaru Impreza collided with a Dodge Dakota around 9:25 p.m. EMS personnel out of Talkeetna, Trapper Creek and Meadow Lakes responded to the scene.
The driver of the pickup, 28-year old Roberta Cecil, was seriously injured in the crash. A passenger in the pickup, 17-year old passenger Amy Sisk, was also injured. Both occupants were from Fairbanks and were transported by ground ambulance due to weather conditions. Troopers from Palmer and Fairbanks investigated the accident. The body was transported to the Anchorage State Medical Examiner's office for autopsy.
