PALMER — The annual Palmer Pride picnic celebrates its 25th year in downtown Palmer from 4 to 6 p.m., July 25.
Every year, this event brings people together to celebrate all things Palmer, with a free hot dog roast, fresh vegetables from local farms, and a chance for folks to gather and visit.
The Palmer Arts Summer Youth Band will entertain the crowd with its wonderful repertoire of music starting at 4 p.m. in front of the Palmer Train Depot. The Palmer City Council and mayor will award certificates to local businesses and citizens for beautiful homes and gardens, as well as for other civic accomplishments.
Find out what’s going on in Palmer from community groups and local businesses with information tables and enjoy the Palmer Saroma Kai’s now-famous Noodle Chute, a traditional Japanese eating game introduced to us by our Sister City .
The many volunteers for this event are ready to celebrate pride in our community. There is never a shortage of willing hands and generous hearts here and this event gives us a reason to celebrate it all with friends, neighbors, visitors and businesses alike.
