WASILLA — A 26-year old Wasilla woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday night.
Alaska State Trooper dispatch reported Marissa Atoruk died after being struck by a vehicle heading east on Bogard Road near Merciful Circle. Troopers responded to the scene around 9:13 p.m. and report Atoruk apparently walked into the path of a Crown Victoria driven by a 45-year old male. Atoruk was transported by EMS to Mat-Su Regional Center where she was later pronounced dead.
Next of kin has been notified and police continue the investigation into the incident.
