BIG LAKE — Two young men and a juvenile male were arrested for burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass Tuesday.
Alaska State Troopers responded to a residential intrusion alarm around 4 p.m., Nov. 6 at a home on Rocky Lake Drive in Big Lake.
According to a trooper dispatch, the three — Joseph D. Scott, 18, Terry J. Keel, 19, and a 17-year-old male, all of Big Lake — tripped an intrusion alarm after forcing entry and causing about $2,000 damage to a residence.
The subjects fled and no items were reported stolen, troopers report.
Scott, Keel, and the 17-year-old were all contacted at a nearby Big Lake residence and subsequently arrested and charged, troopers report.
The juvenile boy also was charged with possession of burglary tools, and Scott faces additionally charges for tampering with physical evidence.
A community meeting to talk about what individuals can do to help stem a recent rash of crime there was scheduled for Wednesday night with representatives from troopers, Neighborhood Watch, Guardian Security and Vivint Security. Though troopers did not say the three were linked to the rash of recent burglaries.
Keel and Scott were remanded to Mat-Su Pre Trial Facility and held on $1,500 bail each.
The juvenile was remanded to Mat-Su Youth Facility and held without bail pending arraignment.
