Wasilla High School had 37 students’ poems picked for inclusion in Creative Communication’s anthology “A Celebration of Poets: Spring 2011.”
Wasilla High also received a Writing Achievement Award for the Spring 2011 Poetry Contest. It’s an award given to schools whose student’s entries were exceptional.
Top 10 winners will receive more than $2,000 in money and gifts, according to Wasilla High English teacher Brandy Peterson.
