PALMER — Thanks in part to a monster effort at the free throw line, Anchorage Christian School scored a 73-64 boys basketball win over Colony Tuesday at Colony High.
ACS scored 24 of its 49 second-half points at the free throw line and finished the game 27 of 32 from the line. Calvin Hoffman netted a game-high 28 points. Levi Auble added 14.
Damien Fulp scored 25 points for Colony. The UAA-bound senior hit four three-pointers and was 5 of 6 from the free throw line. Bailey West added 10 points.
ACS scored a 59-48 win over the Colony girls Tuesday. Dallas Dickerson led the Lions with a game-high 27. Izzy Tweed led Colony with 15. Jennifer Solano added 14 and Faith Farris chipped in 11.
The ACS girls and boys both finished as 3A runners-up last year.
