A U.S. Air Force Airman from the 673rds Logistics Readiness Squadron stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) was killed in a vehicle-related incident on base around 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
The service member was identified as U.S. Airman First Class Tatyana A. Salceda, 22, from St. Louis, MO.
“It is a tragedy to lose such a bright and young Airman,” said Col. Lisa Mabbutt, 673rd Air Base Wing Commander. “Our hearts go out to Tatyana’s family, friends, and fellow Airmen. The 673rd Air Base Wing’s top priority is ensuring that her loved ones receive all the support they need.”
Final reports detailing her death are still pending.
