Thank you to the Frontiersman for all of the pictures and write-ups about the Christmas Friendship Dinner at Wasilla High School.
Everyone agreed that the decorations were the best ever. The junior high school boys and girls loaned us a lot of their decorations and some we can keep. A new lady made one dozen new bows.
We had a lot of younger people come in to help by climbing ladders, etc. A couple of 3- and 4-year-olds decorated the bottom half of a tree all by themselves without supervision. Our workers ranged in age from 2 to 85.
More than 1,400 people were in line at the school, and more than 100 meals were sent out. Second helpings and take-home meals were there as well.
The singers, dancers and musicians were wonderful, tireless and Mr. and Mrs. Claus were perfect.
The clean-up crew did a bang-up job of sorting and packing everything.
The cooks worked two days and two nights, and peelers, slicers and dicers did a bang-up job.
It is an honor and a privilege to be invited to work with all of these wonderful people.
