A big ‘thank you’ for act of kindness

To the editor:

The ladies of Fairview Loop Baptist Church’s Knit and Yak Women’s Fellowship group met Oct. 1 to knit hats, mittens and scarves for mission projects, along with work on other crafts. After the meeting, the group went to Locals restaurant for lunch. Upon completion of a delightful lunch the waitress informed our group that the tab had already been taken care of in full by an unknown person. The group was awestruck and stunned by this very kind, thoughtful and totally unexpected act of generosity. It was not a small group and we had all eaten well.

This anonymous act has been shared with many during the week following and it brought tears to eyes or bright smiles to faces to see the joy this act had engendered.

We were richly blessed by this enormous deed of gracious good will. In today’s world, the negative is what seems to normally be reported.

It has been a double blessing to be able to share that quiet, unassuming goodness is still alive and well and being practiced in Wasilla.

Thank you to whoever you may be from the Fairview Loop Baptist Church Knit and Yak Women’s Fellowship. May God bless your path, and we pray that your eyes will see this small thank you and you will know what joy your act has brought to so many in our small community.
