On May 8, Conor Daugharty, 23, was rear-ended in Anchorage at Airport Heights/Mountain View Drive and the Glenn Highway while stopped at a light.
Conor is continuing his rehabilitation at Craig Hospital in Denver with some setbacks, as well as gains of improvement. Conor’s recovery is ongoing and the process for healing will be a lifetime for the family.
Since this incident, many of the Daughartys’ friends have held fund-raisers to offset the expenses the family is facing.
On July 25, a fundraiser was held at Wasilla High School to help the Daughartys’ mounting expenses. Words could never express the overwhelming support that has been shown to the Daugharty family in a most difficult time that no family should ever imagine or face.
The Daughartys would like to express to the Mat-Su Borough School District and Valley community a heartfelt thank you for the love and support this community has shown their family in this difficult time of their life. They will continue to be with their son throughout his rehabilitation. Again, thank you for all you have done.
Lebron McPhail,
on behalf of the Daugharty family
