A grateful thank you to the community

To the editor:

Wasilla Christian Church would like to thank everyone who contributed to the benefit yard sale for Yetta Hein last weekend.

We were amazed at the compassion, generosity and support of this community and witnessing how God has worked on many hearts to make this a fun, blessed and successful event.

Through a donation only based event, we raised more than $37,000. This money has been put toward Yetta’s medical care. It’s with complete gratitude and heartfelt thank yous to this awesome community for your financial and spiritual support. God has answered many prayers and continues to do so, as he has stabilized Yetta enough to bring her closer to home — Seattle — for her continued treatment.

We ask that you continue to pray for the Hein family and also to praise our God for the miracles that have occurred this past week. God bless you all and thank you again.

Special thank yous go out to Larry and Jacque Ficek from Dream Catchers for the donation of a moving van; Verda and Roxanne and Verdas Cakes; Stan at Carrs; and the many volunteers from our church family who dedicated their time and hard work not only for the yard sale, but also the benefit concert last month.
