A grouch’s opinion doesn’t hold water

To the editor:

It disgusted me to hear on the news how just one grouch could influence so many others and hurt a young person’s feelings just because they could.

What these young people have to ask themselves is if this craft, hobby or whatever made them happy. Then they should ask themselves where in their short span of life — be it 2 seconds or 200 years — is this person going to be important to them? And what in the world ever makes people think anyone is put on this earth to impress them?

They can have their opinions, and the First Amendment gives them the right to voice those opinions. What people should remember is that opinions are like armpits; everyone has them and at times they stink.

So let these people have their opinions and ignore them. Everyone should ignore them. They don’t like being ignored. They want to feel important.
