A special spring day

To the editor:

I know this is late, but I need to thank some wonderful people wonderful people who did a lot this spring for my family and many more who have a loved one with autism or a developmental delay.

First to the Special Olympics. Thank you for our special day at the Bouncing Bears. We proudly still wear our special shirts that received that day.

Second to the second annual Mat-Su Mini Mushers Sled Dog Challenge. My family had never been on a sled dog ride until that day. Jodi, you’re a beautiful person and thank you for bringing your mom. It ways nice to meet the teacher from Wasilla High School who took my son and his grandfather. Trisha organized this event for her non-profit Autism Alaska group. All the best to her and her family. Many blessings to for all those who did so much and all the great organizations. It was all much appreciated and the best day in a long row of lousy ones.

Finally to the AARC — Alaska Autism Resource Center. Thank you for your presentation with Dr. Charles Cowan, neuro-developmental and behavioral pediatrician. So much was covered in that one setting and to offer such a marvelous presenter at no cost. Thank you for providing my family with this information.
