To the editor:
My son lost his wallet a few weeks ago. He was riding down Knik-Goose Bay Road and it flew out, and he didn’t realize it was gone until he stopped riding.
By then it could have been anywhere down Knik into Wasilla. We searched and searched for it, but never found it. His wallet had his driver’s permit, cash that he had worked for this summer and gift cards totaling around $100.
I went to the mail this past week and there was a package with his name, with no return address or sender information. Inside was his wallet with everything still in it. Whoever found it got his name and address of the ID and sent it to him.
What a wonderful person. I wish I could call and thank them, but have no way of knowing who did this. If you happen to know, please let them know how grateful we are and thanks for showing my 14-year-old there truly are wonderful people in this world who do the right thing.
My son said, “We need to call them, mom,” but I have no way of knowing who did this. They even paid for it to be sent first class to him.
Thank you, whoever you are. You are a true blessing and I know many wonderful things will be heading your way.
