Ad spins tale about racing

In regard to MEA’s recent commercial shown frequently on TV, regarding powerlines … this ad contains several falsehoods, some recently addressed by the Frontiersman.

However, the paper missed the most significant error in the ad, which portrays Don Tanner, MEA’s so-called safety man, as an Iron Dog veteran. This is shown in bold type in all of the ads. This falsehood has upset the true Iron Dog veterans who have raced the course over the last 25 years.

Records show that Mr. Tanner has never ever raced in this event, nor has he ever registered to race in it. If one simply rides over the race course, like so many individuals have done, they are not genuine Iron Dog veterans as Mr. Tanner claims.
