ADPR fund-raiser a rousing success

To the editor:

On March 5, Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue, also known as ADPR, invited Alaskans to take part in a Mardi Gras Bow-Wow Ball at the historic Palmer Train Depot. This event included a delicious New Orleans buffet, festive music, door prizes and a costume contest. In addition to these fun activities, participants also got to enjoy a silent auction, which included many wonderful items.

In addition, ADPR wants to give credit to the many wonderful volunteers who helped make this event a huge success. Everyone involved helped to raise more than $10,000 toward the medical needs of Alaska dogs and puppies. They thank you, too. See you at the Mardi Gras Bow-Wow-Ball next year!
