Envy, a 7-year-old sport mix bred specifically for flyball
competition, clears the last hurdle before tripping a spring and
catching the ball during Thursday’s flyball competition at the
Alaska State Fairgrounds. Dogs compete in teams of four and must
clear a series of hurdles before stepping on a trigger and
releasing a tennis ball that they catch and run back through the
hurdles with before another dog is released. The dog with the
fastest time wins. (ROBERT DeBERRY/Frontiersman)
