Alaska Native Vietnam-era veterans or their heirs may be eligible to select up to 160 acres of federal land in Alaska. The application deadline is December 29, 2025. Cook Inlet Region, Inc (CIRI) encourages eligible veterans and families to apply now to ensure you are in the system.
The Alaska Native Vietnam-era Veterans Land Allotment Program is a federal program administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Some parcels listed as “potentially available” on the BLM map may already have State of Alaska or other claims, which may delay processing or require the selection of a different parcel
• Who’s eligible: Alaska Native Vietnam-era veterans (who were on active duty in the armed forces between Aug. 5, 1964, and Dec. 31, 1971), or their heirs.
• What’s available: 2.5 to 160 acres of federal land in Alaska
