A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating a successful first academic year for the Alaska Middle College School is from 10 to 11:30 a.m., May 2 at the Chugiak-Eagle River Campus, 10928 Eagle River Rd., Eagle River.
The ceremony also recognizes the upcoming anniversary of the agreement establishing a partnership between University of Alaska Anchorage and the Mat-Su Borough School District.
Alaska Middle College School is a partnership between UAA and the Mat-Su Borough School District.
The middle college provides secondary school students an option to complete high school graduation requirements on a college campus, preparing them for college level work.
The school provides a college experience to participating students at an affordable cost.
