Alaska North Slope production dipped in June in a seasonal decline but was still up year-over-year against June, 2022 production, according to state Department of Revenue data available July 6.
Most producing fields held even in June compared with May except for Prudhoe Bay, the largest field, dropped 7,832 b/d in daily average output in June, according to the revenue department.
Prudhoe was up compared with June 2022, however, averaging 291,462 b/d in June 2023 against 280,264 b/d for the same month a year earlier.
Two other major fields on the North Slope, the Kuparuk River and Alpine fields, held level from May to June as well as year-over-year against June, 2022.
However, the small Lisburne field dropped to 15,336 b/d in June, down from 19,373 b/d in May and from 19,616 in June 2022.
Overall North Slope production averaged 463,028 b/d, down from 474,931 b/d in May but up from 455,342 b/d in June 2022, according to the revenue department data.
