PALMER — Alaska Raceway Park has a full holiday weekend of racing action at the Butte-area speedway.

The list includes the Firecracker 50 UHP Performance and Machine NASCAR oval race Saturday. Gates open at 3 p.m. and qualifying starts at 5. Races are scheduled for 6 p.m. in the thunder stocks, mini stocks, legends, late models and baby grands classes.

The UHP Performance and Machine Top Eliminator, Quick 8 and points drag races are slated for Sunday on the drag strip. Gates open at 10 a.m., the test and tune is at 11 a.m. and eliminations are scheduled for 2 p.m.

Racing continues Monday with the UHP Performance and Machine Junior Dragster, King of the Street, Gambler’s Bracket and Footbreak 500. Gates open at 11 a.m. for the junior racers.

Alaska Raceway Park wraps up its long weekend Tuesday with the UHP Performance and Machine Top Eliminator, Pro-Nostalgia and points races. Gates open at 10 a.m., the test and tune is at 11 a.m. and eliminations are scheduled for 2 p.m.

The cost is $20 for an adult, $15 for seniors and active-duty military, $10 for children ages 11-15, and children 10 and younger are admitted free. For more information, see raceak.com.
