The 2002 local rodeo season came to a close last weekend with the Alaska State Rodeo at the Sullivan Arena.
Lynn Weeks and Callie Willis were named the All-Around Cowboy and Cowgirl for the event.
Weeks and Willis also set a new state record in the ribbon roping event with a 7.2 second run.
Dave Johnson won the bull riding competition and Charlie Willis won the double mugging event.
