WENATCHEE, Wash. — Forward Kyle Pichler scored a pair of goals to lead the Alaska Avalanche to a 5-2 win over the Wenatchee Wild at the Toyota Town Center in Wenatchee, Wash., on Friday.
Pichler scored late in the second period to snap a 2-2 tie, and pushed his team’s advantage to 4-2 with a power play goal six seconds into the third period.
Defenseman Jake Parenteau and forward Berkley Scott each scored during a five-minute span of the first period to give the Avs the 2-0 lead. Forward Logan Rounds capped the scoring with an empty netter late in the third.
Matthew Friese led Alaska with two assists.
Goalie Landon Peterson stopped 41 shots in the win.
Wenatchee used a 6-0 win on Saturday two force the two-game series split.
