Alaska State Fair vendor highlight: Tracy’s Treasures

PALMER — Tracy’s Treasures owner Tracy Lorentz recently participated in a question and answer interview to discuss how her first year as an Alaska State Fair vendor is going.

Q: So this your first time as a Fair vendor?“Yes, it’s our first year and it’s awesome… We feel very lucky to get in. We’re very blessed…

Q: Were you particularly happy getting this opportunity, especially after just opening the brick-and-mortar location last December?“Oh yeah,” she said with a laugh. “It’s a lot within eight months, opened, expanded, and went to the Fair. That’s a lot.”

Q: How’s the season been going so far?“The people have been great. I have to say, the customers have been really fun, very nice people.”

Q: Has this been pretty good exposure for your business?“Oh my gosh. I think I’ve gone through thousands of fliers and business cards. Everybody’s really responsive. They’re like, ‘oh, a new store.’ So, that’s been really nice.”

Q: I’m sure you have a lot of memories here at the fair right?“The Fair, for the last 20 years, has been the same exact booths. This year, it’s so nice, because not only did I get in, but two of my vendors got in, and two other people that have never been in the Fair that I know of. So, it’s nice to change things up…

Q: What’s it been like meeting the other vendors at the Fair?“Oh, they love me and they hope I’m doing it next year.
