Palmer Pioneers
Bryant Marks is in his second season with the Palmer Pioneers American Legion baseball program. Marks has played at second base and catcher throughout the Alliance Baseball League summer season. He throws right and bats left, and coaches say he has a strong arm and smooth glove. Marks had multiple multi-hit games last week. Marks, who also is a standout in hockey, will be a junior at Colony High School in the fall.
Clayton Boyett
Wasilla Road Warriors
Clayton Boyett is in his third season with the Wasilla Road Warriors American Legion baseball program. He has also been a starter all three years. Boyett was enjoying a stellar Alliance Baseball League summer season before an injury during a win over Palmer. Boyett notched a .524 batting average, with nine doubles, one triple, 23 RBI and 13 stolen bases. On the mound, Boyett fanned 23 hitters while walking only two. He allowed only one hit in six appearances and had a 0.00 earned run average.
