Former longtime Willow resident Amanda Beth Ross, 37, died peacefully due to lupus, on Dec. 8, 2004, in Anchorage.
A small memorial gathering and potluck took place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Silver Fox Inn, Mile 50 Parks Hwy., Big Lake.
Ms. Ross was born Dec. 29, 1966, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Peggy Webb. She grew up in Mulberry, Kan. She had lived in Alaska since the early 1980s. A
self-employed artist, she
painted Alaska scenery for greeting cards.
Her family wrote, "She touched all of our hearts with her faith in everyone and spread her love with just a smile. She will be forever in our hearts."
She is survived by her grandmother, to whom
she was especially close, Maycle "MeMe" Delheart; daughter, Jessica Webb; mother, Peggy Webb, and a large group of Alaska family and friends.
