Amateur radio association meets Saturday

Matanuska Amateur Radio Association is changing its General Meeting to the last Saturday of the month at noon at fire station 6-1 on the corner of Lucille and Swanson streets in Wasilla. This is being done in order to facilitate our population in negotiating the darker winter and weather conditions. The group meets next at noon, Oct. 29.

This is the annual membership meeting and includes election of the officers and board of directors.

All members are encouraged to attend, though only members in good standing and current dues are permitted to vote.

There will be a few minutes before the meeting for people to go to the table with the treasurer and secretary to clear up their account information and pick up a ballot.
