ANCHORAGE — Due to a change in the state tournament bracket, the Alaska Road Warriors will now open state tourney play against East Anchorage on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mulcahy Stadium, Alaska head coach Steve Mossburgh said on Friday.
Alaska, the No. 3 seed in the tournament, was initially slated to play either Kenai or Eagle River on Sunday. But after the Dimond post forfeited its spot in the tourney, teams were reseeded.
With a win over East, the Wasilla-based team would move forward and play at 3:15 p.m. Monday at Mulcahy. With a loss, the Warriors would play at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
