AMY L. STROEBEL

Longtime Alaska resident Amy Louise Stroebel, 76, died at her home in Wasilla on April 19, 2005. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at the Wasilla Community Church of God. Pastor Wayne McDonell officiated.

Ms. Stroebel was born March 22, 1929, in Epping, N.D. She moved to Alaska in 1948, where she resided in Juneau until moving to Anchorage in 1951.

In 1978, she made Wasilla her home. She worked for Sears in Seattle, Washington and in Anchorage upon her move to Alaska. She was a member of the Wasilla Community Church of God. She enjoyed music, church activities and her family.

Her family wrote, "Amy loved her family and her family loved her."

Her husband, David Stroebel; daughter, Sharon L. Stroebel; parents, Charles and Bonnie Williams; three sisters, Ruth Williams, Vera Stephich and Alice McDaniel, and two brothers, Ray and Earl Williams, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughers, Diane L. Sanderlin and Susan L. Stroebel of Wasilla; sisters, Clytie, Doris and Ethel of Washington; brothers, Roy and Lloyd Williams of Washington; granddaughters, Dodi Couch of Palmer and Bethany Sanderlin of Wasilla; grandsons, David and Jon Sanderlin of Wasilla and Jeremy Sanderlin of Palmer; son-in-law, Doug Sanderlin of Wasilla; grandson-in-law, Duane Couch of Palmer; great-granddaughter, Danika Couch of Palmer and great-grandson, Tyler Couch of Palmer.
