Mat-Su Borough School District administration and Su Valley Junior/Senior High School staff and students would like to send their appreciation to David Cheezem from Fireside Books in Palmer for his donation of text books to the school’s Alaska Studies course.
Su Valley’s Alaska Studies instructor, Dave Stull, has had difficulty replacing the school’s original textbooks in a timely manner, so Cheezem worked quickly to order 20 text books and have them delivered within a week. He then graciously waived the book and shipping fee costs.
The actions of individuals like David Cheezem demonstrate the community spirit and caring climate we enjoy in the Valley. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who have stepped up and shown their generosity during this time.
