An Anchor Point man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor and sexual assault.

Ronald Komakhuk, 53, was arrested just before 6:30 p.m. April 15 and placed in a Homer jail. Earlier that day, an arrest warrant was issued for Komakhuk. He has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, four counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, four counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, one count of attempted sexual assault in the first degree, one count of sexual assault in the second degree and one count of sexual assault in the third degree.

This came after an investigation into the abuse of two different juveniles. According to the investigation, a teenager disclosed multiple incidents of sexual abuse on Jan. 25, and several other incidents at a Wasilla residence. The investigation also revealed that Komakhuk allegedly abuse another juvenile, according to Alaska State Troopers.

AST also said there may be additional victims.

“Based on investigation, investigators believe Komakhuk may have additional victims in communities across Alaska going back to the 1990s. Anyone with information regarding a crime committed by Komakhuk is encouraged to contact troopers in Palmer at 907-745-2131,” troopers said in an online dispatch posted April 16.
