Anchorage resident charged in death of man found near Parks Highway pullout

An Anchorage man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Wasilla resident found on an ATV trail near the Parks Highway in Houston Nov. 2, Alaska State Troopers said Saturday.

In an online dispatch, Troopers said 37-year-old Justin A. Brunsvold was taken into custody Saturday and charged with the murder of 32-year-old Patrick McMullen.

McMullen’s body was discovered on an ATV trail Nov. 2 not far from his parked vehicle at a pullout near Mile 59 of the Parks Highway, according to Troopers, who did not release any information on how McMullen died.

Brunsvold was taken to Mat-Su Pretrial, where his bail was set at $100,000.
