Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Mrs. Anita Gale "Bunny" Shepler, 57, died Sept. 16, 2003, at home, surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 151 E. Herning Ave. in Wasilla. Reverend Henry Woodall will officiate.
Mrs. Shepler was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Kingston, N.Y. She moved to Alaska in 1978.
Mrs. Shepler worked for GCI in Wasilla from 1986 to 1997. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Eagle River.
Mrs. Shepler's family wrote, "Bunny enjoyed tending flowers in her gardens and flying with her husband around Alaska."
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Michael J. Shepler; daughter Tobi Witthoft; granddaughter Jessica and grandson Austin; sisters Harriet Lane and Diana Ivanoff; and brother James Reuss.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mat-Su, 3051 E. Palmer-Wasilla Highway, Wasilla AK 99654.
