Big Lake resident Anita L. Giles, 79, died Sept. 19, 2003, at Valley Hospital in Palmer. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary, 209 S. Alaska St. in Palmer.The Rev. Jonathan Rocky will officiate.
Mrs. Giles was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Scribner, Neb. She moved to Fort Richardson where she lived from January 1959-1962, then to Willow from 1962-1975, Wasilla from 1975-1977. She then moved to Big Lake where she resided until her death.
Mrs. Giles was a member of the Missouri Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included reading and watching videos.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Giles of Big Lake; son Clifford Giles of Big Lake; sister Bernita Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brother Limen Horst of Independence, Mo.
Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
