Another Colony grappler hit it big in Las Vegas.
Just two days after Colony junior Sam Loggins in the Western Junior Regionals Greco-Roman tourney, CHS junior Eric Fan finished second in the 215-pound class of the Western Junior Regionals Freestyle wrestling tournament at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday.
On Wednesday, Loggins was fifth in Greco-Roman at 135.
Fan won eight straight matches before suffering his first loss of the tourney in the championship match. Colony senior Angelo Bellotte finished 2-2 in the 189-pound class of the freestyle tournament, which is considered, “one of the toughest tournaments in the country,” Colony assistant coach Tony Olivera said.
