Since MEA management has no problem publishing the wages of its employees, perhaps it should tell the whole story. Specifically regarding the general manager Wayne Carmony, add in the manager’s perks, such as furnished vehicle, expense account, paid vacations and who knows what else.
I just bet it will be considerably more than reported in the Power Lines. It seems that when MEA’s management is pressured into reporting the facts, it is very proficient in spinning things in its favor, kind of like some of our politicians.
It’s time for a change!
As co-op members who pay these wages, we are entitled to see these so-called golden parachute contracts. After all, we are the ones who vote for our fellow co-op members to run this utility as honestly and fairly as possible in the best interest of the members. It is time to let the members of MEA see what the real figures add up to!
