Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Anthony R. "Tony/Tuffy" Lobner, 58, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, in Blenker, Wisc. Funeral services were held Aug. 16 in Blenker. Memorial services will be held Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. on Big Lake. Contact Kathy Karcheski at 746-1147 for more information about the memorial.
Mr. Lobner was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Marshfield, Wisc. to Anton and Cecilia (Liebl) Lobner. He attended St. Kilian's Parochial School in Blenker and graduated from Auburndale High School in Wisconsin. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard.
He spent the last 20 years in Alaska as a resident of Big Lake and Houston. He owned and operated Flag Circle Auto Body in Wasilla. He enjoyed hunting in Alaska, as well as his hunting trips to Africa and New Zealand. He also traveled throughout the Lower 48 visiting family and friends, to Jamaica to attend a great-niece's wedding and also toured Australia and Mexico.
He will be missed by all of his Alaskan family and friends who knew him to always have a good time and to be a great companion.
He is survived by his sisters, Daroma (the late Michael) Derezinski of Rudolph, Wisc., Florence (Bud) Lake of S. Elgin, Ill., Lila Feltz of Stevens Point, Wisc., Etta Bredl of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., Marlene (William) DeBoer of Sherry, Wisc.; niece Kathy Karcheski, her husband Phil and son Brian,
of Palmer; and numerous other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and one great-great niece, throughout the
Lower 48.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister.
