Alaska Peace Officers Association-Mat-Su Chapter awarded $1,000 scholarships to Teresa Kennedy, Tiffany Meyer and Mary Dombroski to use pursuing careers related to law enforcement.

Kennedy will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, M.D., where she will study law and criminal justice.

Meyer will attend Colorado State University in Pueblo to study chemistry and forensic science.

Dombroski is a junior at University of Alaska Anchorage and is studying criminal justice and psychology with plans to pursue a law enforcement career.
