WASILLA — Just in time for the application period to run for municipal offices, the Alaska Public Offices Commission will hold a training session July 16 on how to file financial disclosures.
A public service announcement from APOC says the event is free and will be in the Wasilla City Council Chambers from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“If you are considering running for municipal office, you should attend and bring your laptop/tablet and your My Alaska username and password.”
Elections are set for Oct. 1. The application period in Palmer runs July 15 to 26, which are the same dates for the Mat-Su Borough. As of Saturday, the cities of Houston and Wasilla haven’t posted their dates yet.
