FAIRBANKS — The Fairbanks-based Arctic Bears posted a three-game sweep of the Mat-Su Ravens in the Interior over the weekend.
The Bears completed the sweep with a 2-1 win over Mat-Su on Saturday at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Patty Center in Fairbanks.
Sara-Belle Srebernak scored a second-period goal for the Ravens to tie the score at 1, but Chenoa Decka supplied the game-winner later in the period. Erika Martin also scored for the Bears.
The Bears scored four unanswered goals to earn a 4-2 win over the Ravens on Friday.
Heather Gray scored a pair of first-period goals to give the Ravens the 2-0 lead, the Bears rallied.
Tessa Muilenburg recorded 39 saves for Mat-Su, which was outshot 43-16 in the game.
The Bears grabbed a 5-2 win over the Ravens on Thursday. Gray scored twice in the loss. Muilenburg recorded 38 saves.
